ScotlandsPeople Centre
Welcome to the ScotlandsPeople Centre
Anyone wishing to explore the fascinating world of Scottish family history can access digitised sources - birth, marriage and death records, wills, census records and coats of arms - going back almost 500 years. Staff are on hand to assist and information manuals are available. Our opening hours are Monday-Friday, 09:00-16:30. Please note the ScotlandsPeople Centre will be closed on Monday, 4th and Tuesday, 5th June for the Jubilee holiday. For details of our opening times, please see the opening hours page.
IMPORTANT CUSTOMER NOTICE: Please note that with effect from 14 May 2012 our Booking & Enquiry service phone line (see below) will be
closed for lunch between 12:30 and 13:30, Monday to Friday.
Titanic Display
From the 16th April until end of May there will be a small display of documents relating to the Titanic in the Adam Dome. Visitors to the
ScotlandsPeople Centre are welcome to view these. Please see the
Titanic Discovery pages for full details.
We have FREE introductory taster sessions between10:00-12:00 and 14:00-16:00. You can't pre-book; drop by and see if there are free seats. To pre-book a day search place, phone 0131 314 4300 or email (via our online Bookings form). By pre-paying you can go straight to your seat.
